SERVICE DISRUPTION NOTICE – Monday, 28 February 2011 – WA bound freight delayed due to ongoing flooding and railway closures.
We regret to inform our Customers that we are currently experiencing delays in Perth bound freight originating from Sydney and Melbourne which was collected from Monday, 21st February 2011 onwards. These delays are due to the closure of a large section of rail track at Nurina, approximately 400 kms East of Kalgoorlie, as a result of ongoing flooding.
As is standard procedure, contingency planning is underway and we are focussing our resources on delivering freight as quickly as possible. Subject to improving weather conditions full track re-opening is scheduled for late Wednesday or Thursday this week. In addition, we anticipate freight departing Sydney and Melbourne from this evening onwards will avoid delays.
Whilst we are unable to provide accurate ETA’s at this time, we are doing everything in our power to mitigate the inconvenience caused, and we strongly recommend.
